The Amboy-LaMoille-Ohio Clippers are heading to the I8FA semifinals for the second season in a row, a feat they earned last weekend with their 30-28 defeat over Milford-Cissna Park in the quarterfinals. The Clippers trailed until the fourth quarter while battling against heavy winds. The team had previously lost to Milford in Week 4 and used that loss as fuel to energize them in the quarterfinal making their comeback victory that much sweeter.

The semifinals send off at Ohio Community Schools.

The Clippers will host their semifinal game against St. Thomas Moore in Amboy tomorrow, Saturday, November 12th at 2 p.m. Ohio is represented by two athletes on the Clippers Football team this year, juniors Troy Anderson and Vincent Zembrzuski.

Troy plays tight end and defensive back on the varsity team. This is his second year playing football, and he says that it’s hard to identify one specific thing that is his favorite about the sport. He knows that he has fun playing it and enjoys the team camaraderie.

Vincent is a tight end on the varsity team. He’s been playing football since he was in elementary school. He began playing with the Amboy-LaMoille-Ohio Clippers team as a freshman. He has always played football, and he likes everything about it.

Head out to Amboy High School tomorrow to cheer on our entire football team! Go Clippers!
